I understand what you guys are saying. We play in a roto league though. I am ahead of him in every hitting category and he is ahead of me in every pitching category. Its just that he gained ground on other teams in the hitting categories and I am not so sure he will lose ground in any of them now. Oh well those are the breaks.

I wouldn't qualify myself as totally unlucky but you don't expect this pitching staff to pitch like a bunch of Dewon Brazeltons, do you?

Scott Kazmir - 27.00 ERA, 3.33 WHIP
Francisco Liriano - 13.50 ERA, 3.00 WHIP
John Lackey - 6.75 ERA, 1.88 WHIP
Chad Billingsley - 11.57 ERA, 2.14 WHIP

Mike Gonzalez - 27.00 ERA, 3.00 WHIP
Scott Linebrink - 27.00 ERA, 3.00 WHIP

Even Brandon Webb gave up 3 runs in the first inning and at least settled down for a relatively pristine 2.57 ERA and 1.43 WHIP.

All for a grand total of....10.73 ERA, 2.14 WHIP

At least the bats have been brilliant or else, I wouldn't be tentatively ahead. :*)

OK, that makes me unlucky for not having Greinke. Move over, Shoeless Joe.

Heh, I started the week awful in ERA/WHIP, so I picked up Arredondo for help there.

Tonight?

0.1 IP, 2 ER, 1 H, 1 BB :-C

Ah, but did you put Shields in there tonight like I did??? Must have stepped on Lady Luck's feet one too many times in this dance... !+)

Bills, Shields, Marcum and Lackey: 7.45 ERA and a 1.81 WHIP...

I am probably over reacting, but why do you say that? You had a run of bad luck?

sure it stinks, but it wasnt all that crazy of a circumstance, nor is the season over. keep your head up.

i just had a matchup in my money league in which i had 9/10 hitters with a double header last saturday and basically got forced into starting a pitcher who was locked into his matchup over an hour before his game started. i wasnt planning on throwing him, but whatever.

anywho, the matchup lead changed hands AT LEAST 10 times on sunday with hr, runs, k's, avg, and ops all changing hands several times throughout the night. number 1 seed down the tubes. i dont like to complain though ;-7 %-6

That would actually be disadvantageous for your opponent because it would mean that a horse gave him a swift kick in the ass recently. :-°
