Where is Pedro?

Has anyone heard any news on Pedro Alvarez? Last I heard was the he was put on the Restricted List but I don't know what that means contract wise. Does that mean he will have to go back into the draft next year, can he still sign with the Pirates or will he have to sign the contract he orginally agreed to? Does anyone have any knowledge of this or any updates they may have heard?

His case has yet to be heard by an arbitrator. No hurry now...he won't be playing until next spring at the soonest now. Boras is going to cost him service time which in turn will delay his free agency and then delay his eventual payday. If Alvarez was getting some decent advice he would have signed and been playing for at least a month already like several other players did. This will hurt his development long term.
