That's exactly the mindset of the doubters and haters and it's impossible to argue against. It may very well be the case but unless there is evidence to the contrary it is basically a fact.

Barry Bonds never failed a drug test. That doesn't mean there's anybody out there naive enough to believe he didn't do it.

Except maybe wrveres. :-D

And yes, I look at Lance and Bonds in the same light. Both took PEDs to become the best all-time players in their sports. Not that everybody else wasn't doing exactly the same thing, though.

:-?

We know Bonds took The Clear and The Cream. Which PEDs do we know Armstrong took?

You haven't read the book, have you?

An interesting phone conversation of "From Lance to Landis:"

Armstrong: Oh, come on now. You're telling me you never did EPO?

LeMond: Why would you say I did EPO?

Armstrong: Come on, everyone's done EPO.

LeMond: Why do you think I did it?

Armstrong: Well, your comeback in '89 [from a hunting accident] was so spectacular. Mine was a miracle, yours was a miracle. You couldn't have been as strong as you were in '89 without taking EPO.

LeMond: Are you threatening me?

Armstrong: If you want to throw stones, I will throw stones. ... I could find ten people who will say you did EPO. Ten people who would come forward.

Personally, I agree with Lance here. I find it hard to believe that LeMond didn't use EPO back when he raced. It's just part of riding culture.

Anyway, you can read more from the book here: http://www.slate.com/id/2169622/

Another article, but this time it's with the author.

Those articles are innuendo. There is NO COMPARISON between Armstrong and Bonds. One has been tested more than any athlete in the history of sports and has never had a positive result. The other admitted under oath that he took steroids.

Read the book.

Yes, there is. Both are two of the greatest athletes of all-time. And they both used performance-enhancing drugs.

One has been tested more than any athlete in the history of sports

Did Lance say that? Probably.

and has never had a positive result.

Well nothing concrete I suppose (though there are heavy doubts about that '99 Tour test result). That hardly means anything, though.
The other admitted under oath that he took steroids.

And according to Bonds, it was unknowingly. Are you going to give Barry the benefit of the doubt there? It doesn't go both ways, knapplc.

Whatever. I'm not interested enough in your opinion to argue with you.

To help persuade any doubters that he is clean, Armstrong said Thursday in he's hired anti-doping expert Don Catlin to test him anytime, anywhere - and to post the results online for the world to see.

I figured as much. He's a little afraid for his legacy, I suppose.
