I really don't think it is to prove himself as far as the drug allegations. He is the most tested rider in the history of the tour and he never failed. More testing is not going to convince the doubters. And assuming he spoke honestly he's not coming back to prove anything but rather to spearhead some European cancer program.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I think Cu has some French blood for the kind of disdain he has for Lance Armstrong. In a poll a few years ago, Lance was ranked as the 3rd most hated athlete in all of France. Only Nicolas Anelka (French soccer player) and Michael Schumacher (F1) topped him. That said, I'm glad to have him back on the Tour as it certainly makes the Tour more enjoyable to watch and the French will admit that too.
As for Cu, nice guy, just had an unhealthy obsession with toilet paper. Had a fairly good taste in microbrew beers. I'm a stout and trappist person myself, but Cu had a diverse taste in all kinds, I presume.

As for House, Cu hit the nail on the head there.
He was an IPA guy (like myself). I miss Cu. I emailed him a while back and he ignored me, so we know he doesn't me.
You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...

I think it would be ridiculously naive of anybody to believe that Lance didn't use PEDs at this point. It's just part of the riding culture. Have you read any of the books or articles written on this topic? A lot of the stuff out there makes him look just as guilty as Bonds.
And I hardly think the fact that he's never failed a drug test (though that isn't totally true if you look in depth at it), means he never took drugs. These guys are pros at masking the tests when they need to.

That's exactly the mindset of the doubters and haters and it's impossible to argue against. It may very well be the case but unless there is evidence to the contrary it is basically a fact.
