I learned next to no mathematics in High School. I think I took the bare minimum, which is why you never see me getting into conversations about stats here on the Cafe. I have a comfortable relationship with functional math (the kind of everyday math you do at home: checkbooks, recipes, averages, etc.). The best thing I ever heard about math was to break everything down into tens. Multiplication & division become so much easier to do in your head when you do that, and even simple addition/subtraction gets easier. But I'm a grammar/creative kind of person, not analytical. So no matter how great of a teacher you may be, h0rt, I'm sure as a teenager I would have been daydreaming through most of your class.
Keep wreves in General Talk in 2011!
