It's funny how the guy implies that if you use marijuana you are going to end up a lazy, unemployed, brain dead pot head. Somebody should have told Josh Howard, NBA all-star that. And highly decorated naval officer and TV talk show host Montell Williams. Millionaire actors Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aston and Oscar-winner Charlize Theron. Successful screenwriter and creator of TV series "The West Wing," Aaron Sorkin. And billionaire and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Also supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, and former New York Governor George Pataki. New York Governor David Paterson. British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, Transport Secretary Ruth Kelly, and and Chancellor Alistair Darling. Also former U.S. senator, multi-millionaire, and 2004 Democratic nominee for vice president John Edwards as well as John Kerry, U.S. Senator and 2004 Democratic nominee for president. And lets not forget our 42nd President Bill Clinton and our current President Barack Obama.
It's too bad really, all those people could have been very successful had somebody told them.

No worries, the crusty old white mans opinion on weed is much more interesting to talk about.
Wow. That editorial writer would have saved himself a whole lot of trouble if he had simply written: "I'm old. I'm going to ridicule stoners. Mentally insert into this space what you think someone old would write about young stoners."
No kidding, that was painful to read.
Also I enjoyed this bit:
‘I would just forget school stuff,’ said Dawn, now 17. ‘I’d learn something one day and the next day I’d have no idea what the teacher was talking about.’ At first, Dawn limited her marijuana smoking to the weekends, but soon it became an everyday habit that ultimately landed her in a residential-treatment program.”
Because I know people who smoked marijuana every day and it landed them in graduate programs in the Ivy Leagues.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

Errrr.... doesn't pretty much everyone forget stuff from High School the next day, the next class, heck - the next minute? High School is BORING. I suppose the writer of this piece doesn't remember that, is that it?

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
