Does Longoria's not starting the season with the Rays and being injured for a time influence the decision at all?

A considerable portion of ROY winners didn't start the year in the ML.

I think David Price considers a mention then. He pitched well today. :-b

Anybody think Ellsbury will finish ahead of Ramirez in the voting? 50 SB's and 90+ runs is nothing to sneeze at. If not for an incredibly poor June/July, he'd definitely be in the discussion and possibly would be the front runner.

You have a decent case with Galarraga and Aviles - I think they're just getting no love because of the teams they're on. As far as Ziegler and Joba go, I just don't think a pitcher that won't get to 120 innings is anywhere near as valuable as an everyday 2B (or 3B). Nick Blackburn also should be higher, I didn't realize he was a rook. Also, Ellisbury should be somewhere in the top ten. Otherwise, good list.

Nice to see Denard Span getting some ROY love...even if it is just here at the cafe
