I'm thinking the Mets make a serious run for Rodriguez this offseason.

I picked him up earlier in the season for holds and knowing he could very well close for the Angels should K-Rod leaves. More than one person in my league said, "Who's this guy?" ;-D ;-D ;-D

Better get to know him real quick before it's too late! :-b

The Mets at least have the pockets for K-Rod, just as long as they're willing to pay Mariano Rivera-type money for K-Rod. The Angels could fork up that money but they're not bending on keeping K-Rod for that much cash when it could be used for re-signing Teixeira.

It all depends on how he feels after surgery, but I think he's toast.

He was in tears today, so it's clear that he at least has the desire to keep pitching.

He'll be back; he's a good ole' boy. He won't be with the Mets though (unless somehow they have no closer going into 2010; I believe they have an option).

Metros would have quite a team next year with K-Rod though.

Did you guys know that Wagner's a natural righty who taught him self to throw left handed after breaking his throwing arm playing football? Pretty amazing stuff; I guess it's too late to just go back to the right hand. He'll never throw with the same speed again and I figure if his slider quits working, he's going to be 2010's post-injury Gagne.
