I can't speak for others, but as far as Yahoo goes, stat corrections are only applied in H2H leagues for the current week. So in that case, if the correction came in after the week ended, we'd apply it in points/roto leagues, but not H2H. And in fact this is a fine example why: it could potentially change a match outcome, which could potentially change who made the playoffs, which could change someone from having no match this week to having a match, when perhaps they weren't maintaining their team at all.

Understandable, but the downside to that is that it could also keep someone out of the playoffs (and potentially a payout) when according to the official stats they should be there. It makes sense the way Yahoo handles things, but I could see the possibility of some really upset people (moreso at the mlb than at Yahoo).

Shouldn't this be more of a consistent thing? I know I had Scherzer earlier this year have an error changed to a hit which lead to him having 3 or 4 more earned runs. Now if this had happened on a Sunday and it was changed on a Monday I would have been off clean. Why does it matter when it happens? If you aren't going to allow stat changes that occur from Sunday to Monday, you shouldn't allow Stat changes that occur from Tuesday to Wednesday.

It could, but isn't. The feedback I've heard on this particular subject would lead me to believe your wish would be in the minority. Several sports have the notion of a "correctable error". For example, if the last shot of a quarter in the NBA is ruled a 2, but upon review between quarters it is deemed to have been shot behind the 3 point line, then it is changed to a 3 to increase the integrity, since it can be corrected without unreasonable impact on the game. This is viewed more or less the same way; if corrected within the same week, it does more good than harm. A change after the fact, however, can lead to things like a team suddenly playing in the playoffs when they thought they were done for the year, and therefore weren't even managing their team.
Of course it isn't perfect, but we feel it is the best we can do under the circumstances. It is almost like MLB doesn't cater their rules and rulings with fantasy in mind. Inconsiderate...
