This is why I hate Pedroia:

Overbay was way safe in the 9th, and he knew it.

I consider myself a fairly moral person but I would certainly never try to change an umpire's mind after he just gave my team a gift call. Aside from the fact that an umpire shouldn't really be changing his mind about close plays on the bases, and the fact that I'm making it more difficult for my team to win, I'm pretty sure my teammates would want to kill me. Or at least question my sanity.

Give the guy a break. There might be reasons to hate him but this isn't it. I feel like you're really reaching here. The guy's smiling. Is that so bad?
