I'm just wondering where everyone plans on drafting him next year....

He started out like a clear top-3 pick, but has fallen off tons in the second half...

given that his overall numbers are pretty much where everyone expecting them, id say anywhere from picks 4-8.

I wouldn't draft him, as my brother got me an utley jersey for my birthday. that means definite curse is on the way.

I took him fifth this season and would likely drop him down maybe a few spots next year.

A-Rod, Pujols, Hanley, Wright, Holliday should go ahead of him for sure. And maybe Reyes/Braun/Sizemore/Cabrera will also.

He does have the position scarcity going for him though.

His numbers have dropped off due to an insanely low BABIP (by his standards).

There's every reason to think he could be playing tons better than he is now.

Well, with Phillips, Kinsler, Pedroia, Roberts, Cano, Uggla, Ramirez, DeRosa, Aviles and Polanco (depending on team needs) I don't know that the position scarcity argument is as severe as its been in recent years. Having said that, I wouldn't let him pass me by if I was drafting towards the end of the 1st round.

Mid-late first round (5-9) for me. I don't generally take position scarcity into account in the first few rounds.

I take position scarcity into account somewhat the early rounds but he's still putting up elite numbers and thats the reason most people drafted him in the 1st round. Positional scarcity in those early rounds only comes into play when you have a group of folks you think will put up similar numbers.

I think he'll be a mid-late 1st rounder again. Per usual. Give him 4-11, depending on league settings and preferences.
