Sports Music (Help)

Postby RocketsDWM » Thu Aug 28, 2008 8:20 pm

Hey everyone,

I have to come up with some music for a local sports team. Here are the times they want music:

Introductions
-Preferably with no singing

Time between intro's and start of play
- Thinking Hells Bells

After goals

Any thoughts? And obviously no profanity or suggestive lyrics (I sound like one of those warning labels).

Thanks in advance. ;-D

Oh, and I was also thinking "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins for the last 5 minutes of warmups.

Just a couple off the top of my head

About a 40 second musical intro in What I've Done by Linkin Park

I always liked the musical intro to The Ocean by Led Zeppelin, but it isn't that long.

So Cold by Breaking Benjamin - the one on the album has a longer intro.

Rock You Like a Hurricane

I'll keep thinking on it and see if anymore come to mind.

"Welcome To The Jungle" is always a good one.

At our high school's games they would play the beginning of "Killing In The Name" by Rage Against The Machine at the end of warmups/during introductions/during play stoppages, and it doesn't have any obscenities until the end (but if it did for some reason get to the end of the song you're pretty much screwed :-b ).

Sweet Child of Mine is likely overplayed - as every school band in the world plays it - but it has a great intro.

I like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OtcOMK1BMs (don't have to watch, it's just awesome intro music and perfect to announce names over/during)

There's a WCW music CD out there where the track can be found. ;-D
Yes doctor, I am sick.

Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
