A few questions

Postby Trot Nixon » Fri Mar 05, 2004 3:05 am

Getting very deep into my draft (5x5 14 team keeper) is there any young players worth taking a look at? Ryan Wagner and Chad Cordero just went, are there any others?

Is Rickie Weeks worth picking at 268 when I already have Reyes?

Whats your take on Glavine this year? Is he done?

thanks

I would pass on Glavine. There's definitely room to improve from last season, but he just doesn't strike out enough batters for me.

I don't think Weeks is going to have fantasy value this season, but there may be some who think he'll be up sometime in the second half after a possible Spivey trade. If you have enough bench space, I would stash him.

if your league allows some bench room, defenitly take Weeks - especially if your weak at SS, you can have Reyes their for the next 2 years. but even so, i'd still take Weeks. I don't think he'll be starting til mid-season or so, but he's too talented to overlook. he went in the 10th round of my 18 team keeper (around 150 overall)

Weeks in the 19th of a 14-team league? Doesn't sound like a bad spot to me. Unless there's something amongst the leftovers and you haven't filled a position.
