With the Giants clinging to a 3-2 lead, Colorado scored two runs on Troy Tulowitzki's ground ball to the left of third baseman Rich Aurilia, who did not come up with the ball. Official scorer Michael Duca initially ruled the play an error, which made the runs unearned, but changed it to a hit after the game.
Aurilia preferred the initial call.
"One more error in my career isn't going to make a difference in my credentials," he said. "I gladly would take that to take Timmy off the hook."
Whether Lincecum's ERA is a few points higher or lower shouldn't make a difference, Bochy said.
I love Timmy and I definitely think he has a very good chance at Cy Young, but don't you think he is being killed by SanFran with his pitch count? Especially since they aren't even in the race. Just look at this

According to that he is getting killed.... Or do you think he is gonna be one those one in a million pitchers that is just a work horse?
he's already over-achieving, throwing that hard with a body like that. so maybe he'll be one of those "freaks" that can just throw and throw and throw with little ill effects. but i agree with you - that's a lot to ask of a youngster, especially when your team's been out of it for months. but i suppose a cy young doesn't come around very often so you have to grab it while you can.
he's had a phenomenal year and i wouldn't be upset if he won the cy young (this coming from a dodgers guy). i think santana deserves it more than webb, though, and i'd be happy to see lincecum win with santana second.
