No offense, but "sources" saying they are on the "verge" of aquiring is not even close to actually happening. How many times have you seen this before? Not saying it won't happen, but this article shouldn't be a confirmation. Also, there was just an article a few days ago saying the Braves wanted to bring Kotsay back for next year. There is no accountability in sports media, so why not just throw everything out there and hope it sticks.

No offense but the first paragraph pretty much sums it up,
"The Red Sox finalized a deal to acquire Mark Kotsay from the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday."

That article was updated after it was posted here, probably twice. ESPN does that with "Sources: *********" type articles. It now has a completely different title than last night when it was posted. No offense, though.
I always liked it when people liberally use "no offense" when degrading each other. (Not that you guys are, but you guys brought this point to light) You can pretty much say anything about the guy; his family, lifestyle, whatever, and if you throw in the "no offense" card somewhere along the line it's all good.

Yeah, I'm just using it to be funny now. Seriously, that article has probably been updated 3 or 4 times since it was posted. The original was all speculation before the fact, therefore the title of this thread was misleading at the time. That was my point. Now that the deal has been confirmed and the prospect named, it obviously makes sense.
