Weeks made his way off of two of my rosters last night, after having spent the last month sitting on the bench in favor of Jeff Kent. I do believe he will have the year we've been waiting for one day -- I just can't wait, especially down this home stretch, for him to figure it out.
Yup, I simply couldn't waste the roster spot anymore either. He was waived for Nelson Cruz.
I'm with ya on the 'suffering with weeks' ride. I scour the FA pool pretty much every day looking for someone that will catch my eye, and that I could use for his roster spot. Been playing pedroia @ 2B and have had to leave weeks in @ UTIL due to some injuries. With the impending playoffs, it's probably time to grab someone who's on a hot streak or something, to inject some fire into my lineup. So far it's just been too tough to drop him, probably because I keep thinking he's going to turn it around sooner than later.

Last year Weekes had a torrid run at the end of the season. There was reason to believe he had turned the corner ..... This year, not so much. I suspect he will continue to be drafted somewhere between 80-110, but that doesn't mean he will perform anywhere near the top 100. When he is on, he is a fantasy dream, but it isn't often that he is on.

So what your trying to say is that there is something wrong what that idea?

I just need to get dinner on the table for Rickie by the time he gets home from working long, hard hours to earn a living for this family, is all...

Because he is very talented and still very young.
