Any under-the-radar arms for the playoffs?

Postby Guttenburg » Mon Aug 25, 2008 10:09 am

Is Scherzer getting the call again? Reyes is looking like he could be a good grab. Anybody know of any others?

Kuroda if he is still available. Petit's been pretty good also. I'd look for anyone in the NL west pretty much.

Dana Eveland looked good in his first start back from the minors.

yeah petit (not pettitte) has been pretty hot, and perhaps keep your eyes on morrow if you need a high-K SP. i've recently picked up petit, miner, kuroda and they've all been pretty good.

Im gonna go with Brandon Morrow. Should put up K's and good ratios. Don't expect many wins though. I guess he will be up next week, no?

Brett Myers has been dealing since he returned - his overall numbers still look ugly. He's a FA in my league, but maybe not in others.

Brandon Morrow would be my pick as well. I plucked him off the waivers this week hoping to add some extra fire-power for the playoffs.

Brett Myers, on the other hand, has been in my starting lineup for a few weeks now. So, if he was available at this point, I would definitely add him.

Sorry if wrong forum, but would you prefer Morrow to Harang or Marcum the rest of the way?
