My issue is that the media routinely and incorrectly portrays the two farm systems in different lights. The media's coverage of the minor league systems is really bad in NY. I don't disagree with any of your points but the media's coverage of Melky, Big Pelf, Hughes, now Murphy, etc., was all coverage that happened after the players hit the show.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
