Francisco Liriano's return to the bigs...

Postby Verminator » Wed Aug 20, 2008 8:20 pm

Those of us that were patient with him are reaping the rewards...

Four starts since return to the Twins... 4 wins, 20 K, 1.14 ERA, 1.10 WHIP.

For some of us who are in keeper leagues, the future looks bright! Not the 2006 blinding sunlight... but enough to cause a minor glare! ;-D
When it comes to exaggerating, I always give 110%.

He was definitely worth the roster spot while he was on the DL. He's getting results, even without the dominating pitch selection he had in '06; if he stays consistent, he's going to make several of us very, very happy. Well, he'll make me happy, anyway, because I needed serious WHIP help, and my ERA was a little bloated, too. Viva Liriano!

It helps that he's had an easy schedule and is supposed to continue to have a fairly easy schedule vs weaker offenses.
