wondering if he could someday be close to a Hanley Rameriz potential at SS. Might be streching it, still he seems to have great upside for his youth. Any preditions on Axi for next season?

The boat`s still taking passengers my man. Axi is showing more and more value with each game passed and he`s sustaining the BUZZ. I think he`ll be more like Brandon Phillips (25/25 with a better BA).

He reminds me of Alfonso Soriano.
Doesn't walk a lot. Is a speedster on the base paths, but isn't the smartest base runner. Makes good contact with pitches way out of the zone.

I like your comparison of Soriano better than mine of Phillips. A strong, lanky guy. Except he`ll hit for better AVG. than Soriano. Plus he`ll be hitting that "magical Baseball Age" of 27 late this season .
He`ll have a MLB season under his belt and theoretically be at his Athletic peak for 2009. I`m seeing $$$ for my team next year.

Naahh--not realy--but ,HEY, I`m "People"
*My Topic Title was a long one so I condensed his name to seperate him from the rest off the Baseball Ramirez Legion. I didnt think "A Ramirez" was quite enough.
*Also, its a pain in the butt to spell his version of "Alexei".
*To further confuse people theres that other high performing rookie 2B "Alexi" in Minnesota (also on my team and coming back tonight ).
*Plus, "Axi" sounds kind of cool. He does swing a mean axe....................
