Sep 4 Evan Grant, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Texas Rangers 2B Ian Kinsler (hernia) will undergo surgery to fix a sports hernia in his abdominal wall and will miss the remainder of the season. The surgery will be performed by Dr. John Preskitt Sept. 11. Kinsler stated that he should be able to run full speed within six to eight weeks, which will allow him to perform his offseason conditioning program.
I had already braced myself for the worst, but this definitely sucks to hear for sure. Oh well, as long as he is ready for next year
Keepers are keeping him anyway and it might drive his stock down just a bit for redrafters next year - its just too bad we got left holding the bag right at the start of the stretch-run/playoffs
