Not watching the game, but it looks like he left early in a game that's not a blowout. Anybody know if he got hurt?

Sportsline game log saying that he clutched at his back as he slid into home.

Was watching when it happened...He slid head first into home and after he touched the plate he grapped his lower back/right hip. He rolled around a little bit but then got up with the trainers and walked off the field

Nothing in the Chicago papers this morning. The dive/flop into home looked like it couldn't have done much more than knock the wind out of him. I'd guess he sits out today at most.

Mully and Hanley (morning show on a local sports radio 670 the Score) said it looked like he might have hurt the family jewels on that slide into home (I didn't see the play). They were cracking on the Cubs because they were calling hurting the nether regions a "hip injury"...again, i didn't see the play, so this is just what I heard on the radio (it was funny)

From Rotowire:
Aug 15 Ramirez had to leave Thursday's game against the Braves after an awkward slide home resulted in a deep bruise on his left hip, but he may be available Friday, the Cubs' web site reports. "We'll know [Friday], but it's not that serious," Ramirez said. "I should be OK."
Recommendation: Ramirez continued: "I couldn't breathe down there. I thought it was real serious, because I couldn't breathe, but I'm good now." It doesn't sound like he's likely to be out long. Consider him day-to-day until further notice.

Any news on whether he's going to play today (8-15)?
