Hammy again...fielding a bunt.

That's really all you have to do to Percy is have the first guy bunt and get him hurt.

Sprained knee. Balfour seems to be the logical choice for save opportunities if Percival is to miss any time, and he's been dominant so far this year, with 55 K's in 27 IP. It doesn't sound great for him in this article, has anyone else heard anything useful?

From RotoWorld:
The Tampa Tribune reports it "appears likely" Troy Percival will be placed on the disabled list Friday.
Percival injured himself trying to tag Mark Ellis out on a sacrifice bunt. "I never felt anything pop or anything and I took two steps back towards the mound and I was like, 'What the heck just happened?'" said Percival. He'll be examined today, but the Rays probably aren't going to give him a few days to see how he feels.

FYI, Percival to the DL. Balfour steps in as CL.

"Rays manager Joe Maddon said he will not name a closer during Percival's absence."

"Aug 15 Balfour would take over as the Rays' closer if Troy Percival (knee sprain) has to go on the DL, the St. Petersburg Times reports." From Yahoo.

Apparently up in the air. IMO Balfour gets the role.

Is Percival likely to come back this year? If so, will they insert him back into the closer role? Balfour has some pretty good numbers and could take the job and run with it.
