im not sure if this is the right place. general talk seems to be more for non baseball stuff. game commentary looks like its for individual games, and the area designated for the astros has one post since 2007...so here goes

it seems like every year they go on some hot streak at the end of the year(except for last year). they've won 7 in a row now, and are creeping up on the wild card. remember a few years back, im not sure exactly which year, but that year they went on that crazy tear at the end of the season to get in. next week they have a series w the brewers, and if by some miracle they sweep them they can be right back in it. the loss of carlos lee sucks, and not even trying to get dunn sucks also...but they are somehow making it work

i know in years past they had some steroid guys pitching late in the season, and they are a very long shot now, but here's to hope. hell the rockies did it last year

They would be creeping up on the Wild Card if the Brewers haven't won their last 8. The Astros are still 8.5 out of the WC. The exact same place they were a week ago.

Leap frogging six teams with 42 games left on the schedule is a tall task.
