i really liked Base Wars and Baseball Simulator 1.000 (the one with "Tremor Hit" and "Missle Hit") for the NES

When you are playing MLB 98 choose your team as the Arizona Diamond Backs. Then put in the pitcher Rex Baca. Pitch a fastball and check out the speed.

for me baseball stars (NES) edges out high heat 2001 (PC). my other favorites along the way were world series baseball 98 (sega genesis) and mvp 2005 (PC)

for sims, out of the park baseball sets the standard these days, but i simmed a freakish amount of seasons with baseball pro 98 (making sure to always draft eric young and kenny lofton for my dynasties). baseball mogul did a nice job, as well

RBI Baseball 3 was the first baseball video game I ever played. That game, along with the '86 Topps baseball cards I had, introduced me to MLB players.
