Ive played the 2k8 and all the new ones and still when i come home from college the only game i need is MVP 2005 with Manny on the cover for xbox. So simple yet 10 times more fun than the 2k series for 360. What is your favorite?

i love(d) the mvp series. i used to manually update my rosters until this year when i gave in and bought the show. its all right, but i get tired of it fairly easy.
MVP '05 is the top but a close second is Triple Play Baseball 2001 just for the goofy fun value. Man, the HR Derby mode was addicting as hell. Not only were you playing for # of HR but also distance as well as targets hit. There were huge-ass targets 350-500 feet from the plate, some of which were literal targets and the rest were environment stuff like cars and buildings. Or in the case of the Living Room field, family photos and household pets. After 10 straight HR you get the flaming baseball (hits go farther) and after 17 straight, you get the pulsating bat (hits go WAY farther). And of course the cheats you could buy were great, like Big Head Mode and Fat Players Mode (lucky Mench and Fielder weren't playing then, they'd break the game ), and useful but incredibly cheap cheats like Cannon Arm (nail runners at first on a line drive off the wall) and Super Speed (score from second on a bunt).
MAN that game was fun as hell.

My MVP 2005 is for PC (I don't think PS2/3 and XBox bring out baseball games here) and also has Manny on the cover. One of my favourite games I have ever played.
