Absolute Stud players in a deep deep funk..Get rid of some?

Postby kemper5 » Tue Aug 12, 2008 10:28 pm

Arod, Aram, Berkman (1 HR in 1 1/2 months!) John Hamilton, Holliday..All these guy on my team have all decided not to hit the 2nd half..Ive sunk from 1st to 3rd (almost 4th in the standing because there NON Hitting) Time to unload some of these guys to get back in the standings..Ive waited for a month for them to turn it around and umm. They just keep stinking it up night after night after night

You're right, those guys are studs...and they're studs for a reason: Over the course of a full season they will give you huge numbers. I've had to deal with major slumps for Jose Reyes and Chase Utley throughout this year, but by then end of the season they'll still be in the top 10 of all fantasy players....I wouldn't dream of letting either one go unless the offer was huge.

I say trust your studs to get through the rough patch and turn it around. Besides, you know the minute you let one go he'll turn into a beast for the rest of the season (Murphy's Fantasy Law) :-)

Arod huge today my friend. Keep these players, because once they do get hot very soon(you'd hope and assume, the best players don't stay like that for very long obviously), your team will be virtually unstoppable.

Gotta ride out the slumps sometimes...stud players can turn it around in a heartbeat. I've heard a few people complaining about Sizemore's average lately and look what he did the other night. Don't bench them. You'll be sorry... ;-D

I agree. Don't wory about it. At least you have a guranteed playoff spot it seems. They will power back up and you will be set. Don;t count them out.
