What do the Tigers need Barry Bonds for? They are 2 games under .500, and 8 games back of a playoff spot.
Didn't know a team had to have a certain record or be a certain distance from a playoff spot with almost two months to go to take a chance on a league-minimum free agent.

What would be the point? Detroit's season is over. If they were going to do something with Bonds, they should have done it months ago.
