If you have seemingly better options and no DL space, it might be time to cut bait.

He's probably been the biggest bust of the season. Not entirely his fault with all the nagging injuries, but wow what a letdown. What's amazed me is that in his most mediocre year, the Rays are having their best year ever as a team. Just think how good they'd be if both he and Pena were doing what they did last year.

I live down here in Tampa and the hype surrounding the Rays is incredible. Go figure, the year that I finally draft Crawford he's a bust. And of course, I have Longoria on my team as well.

Not too worried about fantasy as much as I just want to see the Rays beat the Yankmees and Sox. Can't stand those two teams

Carl Crawford said Monday that he's "debating" whether to undergo surgery to repair the torn tendon band on his right middle finger.

Surgery would sideline him for 6-8 weeks, all but knocking Crawford out for the season, but he said Monday that going the non-surgical route for recovery would likely also keep him out for the remainder of the regular season. "It's about the same for both, six-eight weeks," Crawford said. Quite a change from 48 hours ago, when Crawford was hopeful that he'd return in two weeks. The Rays will now try to hold off the Red Sox and Yankees without Crawford and Evan Longoria.

In a redraft it is def safe to drop him. I don't think he will be back in the regular season at all. I am hopeful he can get better and be there for the playoffs if we make it, but that is a stretch also IMO
