If not for missing time with the hand injury last year Utley greater than Miggy in 07. Not to mention 06 and 08. But I guess since Miggy has been hot for a couple months we dismiss 06, 07 and most of 08??? Utley will heat back up and miggy will cool down.

The length you guys go to, to attempt to prove your point. I will say this eventually, eventually you will be right. Miggy is bound to have a better year than Utley eventually. I think.

What is your problem? Why did you start a thread taunting people that supported Cabrera and then try to rile everyone up by being a sarcastic jackass? This thread adds nothing to anyones baseball knowledge and was only created so you could start something.....well done.
Your post was intended to then be non-sarcastic and add baseball knowledge? I see. Brilliant!

Yoda wrote:The point is, neither of them is head and shoulder above the other. Utley = in his peak. MCab = in his pre-peak. Therefore MCab > Utley.
Yoda, I agree that neither is head and shoulder better than the other and for next year I probably will rank Miggy higher for once. I posted this thread for this exact reason, neither is head and shoulders better than the other and this creates a great debate. If I was just here to gloat I would have posted this earlier in the season when Utley clearly had the best stats. Right now their stats are very close and it appears MCAB will finish with better numbers since MCAB is hotter now. However if Utley gets hot and MCAB cools then, Utley has the better numbers. Those that call this a poorly timed thread just don't get what I was trying to do which was to create debate. I mean whats the point in debating two players that are obviously miles apart in talent, should we debate Andy Gonzalez and AROD?
This is what I like about Yoda he posts things that make sense, most of the time, other times well thats when there is a debate.

hehehe you must not be familiar with the cow yet.
hes bumped two threads now, specifically just to brag about things he has said. although i bet if i were go back to his march's posts, you'd see a few things that would make you scratch your head. now dont get me wrong, its awesome to be right on a guy (cafe sleeper nate mcclouth pre-season right here) but to try to rub it in people's faces is certainly wrong.
How can you knock me for supposedly bragging, but yet still manage to brag about McLouth??? I would comment more about you as a poster, but the powers that be say no.

Alright, congratulations to whoever won this thread.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
