The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Ryan Braun could miss "a few more days" with discomfort in his ribcage and lower back. "It’s pretty bad," said Braun. "It hurts on both sides. We think it’s spasms... It’s just day-to-day. But I don’t feel very good today. There’s no way I could swing a bat." Gabe Kapler has been filling in.
Wed, Aug 13 Adam McCalvy, of MLB.com, reports Milwaukee Brewers OF Ryan Braun (rib cage) said he was feeling better Wednesday, Aug. 13. If he does not improve in the next few days the team might be forced to place him on the disabled list.

You're looking at the glass half-empty as Braun acknowledged he was feeling better and he might come back as soon as this weekend vs. the Dodgers. I don't think Ned Yost will rush Braun which could lead to a precautionary DL stint.
Good news: Braun pinch-hit tonight. He's been itching to play a game in this series against the Dodgers, and if not, to log in an at-bat, given that Braun's a local boy. As I write, Braun's headed up for his 2nd at-bat of the game as we're headed for extras.
Anyway, Braun had gone the other way with the ball for a pop fly double down the right foul line. His swing seems to be smooth and with no ill effects. Should be interesting to see if Braun gets the start tomorrow but it seems like he will.
