Longoria starting tonight?

He was given the night off last night after getting hit in the wrist the night before. Yahoo is only saying that he's hoping to play on Saturday. Any Tampa folks have any insight or thoughts? If he's not going to play, I'd love to get Guillen in for 3B tonight...thanks!

The word is hopeful. IMO, he will say out again tonight and play tomorrow. That is only my opinion though

Yeah thats what I am thinking too. He/they are probably going to play it safe and give him one more day of rest.

Yea, the Rays are always very cautious with all of their players and with Evan being a key one I think they will give him one more day off. He felt fine yesterday before going into the cage, but after hitting some balls he was less certain about playing tonight. I am benching him in any league I have a filler for him in.

Thanks for all the feedback. Of course, Guillen was benched tonight too for back spasms...
