Tim Redding was hit by a fly ball while standing in the outfield during batting practice on Thursday.
Redding collapsed to the ground, and stayed down for a minute before walking gingerly off the field. Apparently, he was almost hit by a line drive as he came through the infield.

I think he has decided that a batting practice pitching job is more lucrative than a major league pitcher, but he forgot to tell people of his change of profession.
