The Mets are planning on placing Billy Wagner on the disabled list with a strained left forearm.
They're trying to spin it as good news after an MRI showed no elbow damage, but the pain is obviously pretty close to the elbow and it's bad enough to put Wagner on the DL when he's been pitching through various ailments all year. Duaner Sanchez, Pedro Feliciano, Scott Schoeneweis, Aaron Heilman and maybe even Eddie Kunz will be candidates for saves with Wagner out. Sanchez is likely the best bet.
