I forgot about Fields not signing. But apparently as a college senior he doesn't have a deadline (probably next year's draft).

I'm pretty surprised actually that Cole didn't sign, if one team could of got it down t would of been the Yanks. Leads me to believe he wasn't budging from asking for a ton of money (top 5-10).

I read somewhere that he was dead set on playing for UCLA. It pretty much didn't matter how much the Yanks were willing to pay him. Suprising because apparantly he is a big Yankee fan.

Yeah the deadline is one week before next year's draft. I'm not sure what the holdup is though, he acted like getting signed wasn't going to be a big deal. If we're going to waste a first rounder on a reliever we might as well get some use out of him. !+)
