Nice Find, thanks for sharing.
I would like to see Halladay get the Cy YOung, but K-Rod might have something to say about that. If breaks the record for most saves in a season, it seems like he almost has to win the Cy Young.
And with how the cardinals are blowing save's these days, it will make that closer roll look all that more important at the end of the season.
It is still early though, so we will just have to wait and see.

Considering the save statistic is completely meaningless, I just hope that isn't the case. With the seasons Lee and Halladay have put up, K-Rod (a reliever who isn't even the best at what he does) shouldn't win.

Agreed, Cliff Lee has to be the favorite at this point. Halladay is a close second, and I think it will get even closer down the stretch. I expect Halladay to pitch a little better than Cliff the rest of the way and it should be a really close. K-Rod isn't even that great. Winning the Cy Young because he broke the record for saves would be a joke. That's like setting the record for sacrifice flies because you have 100 more plate appearances with a guy on third than the next guy in the league.
K-Rod isn't even in the same class as Rivera this year. So how could he be justified as the Cy Young.
Rivera - K-Rod
IP: 49.1 - 48.2
SV/SVO: 27/27 - 45/49
ERA: 1.46 - 2.40
H: 31 -33
BB: 5 - 28
K: 60 - 51
WHIP: 0.73 - 1.25
AVG: .179 - .189
OBA: .210 - .300
K/9: 10.95 - 9.43
BB/9: 0.91 - 5.18
K/BB: 12.00 - 1.82
So basically Rivera has pitched slightly more IP, has an ERA twice as low, while giving up less hits, WAY less walks, more strikeouts, much better ratios. His K/BB is almost 6 times better than K-Rod. The only thing K-Rod is better at is having a team that struggles on offense and has good starting pitching which gets him more opportunities.
I wouldn't have a problem with Rivera winning it, but I still think it goes to Halladay or Lee. Lee has to have the edge though because of the W-L ratio.

yea I've had him for the past 3 years but decided not to get him this year and now he's striking out people like crazy. His success is due to me not drafting him. That said i'll take Lincecum at pick 92 anyday
