Southpaw Rich Hill was scratched from his scheduled start Sunday due to stiffness in his left elbow, an ailment that he doesn't deem serious and would've liked to pitch through.

I bet someone just did a "oh lord" when they saw the news, hope it's not too serious

X-rays on Hill's elbow came back negative on Monday, but he'll undergo a precautionary MRI, MASN Sports reports.

"There's nothing on the X-ray," manager Dave Trembley said. "Now they're going to go with an MRI to rule out every possibility. The guy's getting the whole kitchen sink. They're giving him every conceivable workup possible to rule out everything. The X-ray, nothing, so now they're going to move to an MRI to make sure that's clean, as well." Hill isn't going to pitch on Tuesday regardless of what the MRI reveals, so we'll await the results to see if he'll be healthy enough to compete for job this spring.

Rich Hill is scheduled to start Saturday against the Royals.
It'll be his Orioles debut. Hill tossed six scoreless innings in his last start for Triple-A Norfolk and could be a nice add for AL-only leaguers. He won't be added to the roster until Saturday morning.
