The Seattle Post Intelligencer reports that the Mariners have made J.J. Putz available in trade talks.
The newspaper notes that the Red Sox and Mets "have popped up as possible trading partners" for Putz, who would likely draw plenty of interest throughout both leagues even given his injury concerns. If Putz is traded, the Mariners could reconsider their plans to move Brandon Morrow into the rotation.
