...Could be called up to DH in Texas-Trying to find the quote, but I have read it a couple times.
He of the .349 avg, 37 hrs, 24 sbs, and 56/84 bb/k ratio - I think worth a look. I am almost sad to see the battle between him and McPherson come to an end, but hey!
I am curious though from you Texans, what are y'all (get it) hearing?
I'm not from Texas, but the last I read was that it depends on the severity of Milton Bradley's quad strain. I haven't heard the latest on that, so not sure if a Cruz call-up is coming or not. I just picked Cruz up about a week ago and stashed him, so I'll be curious to hear any further updates too.
This guy has been tearing it up all season. I'm surprised he hasn't been brought up or sought after by another ML team. One thing against him is that he's had prior incredible success in the minors only to disappoint at the ML level.

Yup, he's not real young... just turned 28. Had 9 homers in 307 ABs in the majors last year.
He is a weird one. I heard someone else call him a great AAAA player, and unfortunately that's how his career has played out. One to watch if called up, but I wouldn't count on much...
abrunn11... the place to go for all your sig needs...

MLB.com Rangers beat writer T.R. Sullivan reports the Reds could be interested in acquiring Nelson Cruz. Cruz is hitting .345/.436/.716 with 37 homers in 359 at-bats at Triple-A, but there have always been doubts about the 27-year-old's ability to transfer that success to the major leagues. His path to the majors in Texas is blocked, and Cruz cleared waivers earlier this spring.
Texas park is good, but the Cincinnati park is better right? he could have big numbers with the Reds.

Just as important, with Griffey gone and maybe Dunn on the way out too, the opportunity would be there for consistent PT. Whether or not he actually takes advantage of it remains to be seen, if he ends up in Cincy...
I drafted him five or so years ago in a dynasty league and have watched this unfold. I just have a feeling if he hits the majors soon, he finishes strong-real strong.
