This guy remains an enigma. Overall, the power seems to have come along to what people expected (he is on pace for 24 HR) but the BA sucks. He basically can't hit at home. This problem befalls a lot of Marlins, but Hermidas BA splits are atrocisous (.216 v .288) and OPS is even worse (.636 vs .874).
What do people think about him for the rest of the season and after? Giving that he is hitting #2, he is clearly a very nice player on the road, and in particular on the road against righties. But his potential was once much more than this. Will the breakout ever happen? He is still only 24.

I've got to see him play the past two nights vs. my mets...although he's played well, the guy is honestly slow as balls. Hopefully he'll start living up to his potential and stop showing ephemeral brilliance
yea i said it, ephemeral
