Lou Montanez. I bet you've never heard of him unless you're a Baltimore Orioles fan or Live in NH and saw the AA Eastern League All-Star game. But this guy is the real deal.
He is currently playing for the Bowie BaySox of the AA Eastern League. Through 103 games, the slugging outfielder has 21 HRs, 72 RBIs, with 125 hits in 398 ABs and 28 doubles. He is also hitting .314 and slugging .558 this year. He came in 2nd in the Eastern League Home Run Derby to Travis Snyder of the NH Fishercats. If he isn't called up to help a struggling Orioles team by late August, he'll get the call in September to give him a taste of the big leagues.

As for Montanez, he is a former 1st rd bust (3rd pick) who is now 26. He should be putting up those numbers in AA, but I wouldn't even call him a AAAA player. He is AAA at most.

AAAA player is someone who is a great AAA player, but he isn't an everday MLB player. He is in the middle between AAA and MLB.
