I love this guy will be a 20+HR and 40 +SB guy I cant wait to grab him!!! :-D

can we get a link please?? or is it just your opinion? if this is retroactive to the nady trade...many fans would disagree with you on this site. mccutchen is clearly the pirates' best OF propect but they will be giving the RF duties to michaels/pearce for the short term. the pirates look like they want to take their time with this kid so that they don't call him up too early and have to send him back down. if they trade bay then it becomes different story...but for the short term mccutchen is staying in indy.

I've kind of held this in for a while, but what exactly makes you think he will be a 20+/40+ player? I've seen the scouting reports, but I just don't buy it. I think right now his base running is pretty awful, and even for a mediocre team like the Pirates, they are not going to let him run 70 times a year so he can steal 40 bags. Also, I think 20 HR are at least a few years away. These are just my thoughts, but he is so highly touted, and I just don't see the production to back it up.

Before I hear this argument, I know he is very young for AAA, but that means he will be even younger for the majors. I am not saying he won't be good, but I think asking for any more than 10 HR/20 SB in 2009 is lunacy.

no I agree but no one has him on their radar if you have a low waiver pick like I do in my dynasty league he might be worth the pick up on rotowire he is listed as a top 10 prospect. yeah he is a project like justin upton but for dynasty leagues he is a must have.

I definitely think that he should be owned in a dynasty league. And I even think he is worth the waiver, however, I just am not as high on him as the scouts seem to be. They get paid to do what they do, so perhaps they are right and I am wrong. However, I still stand by my view. I wouldn't expect him to be an impact fantasy player anytime soon.
