rotoworld and everyone else seems ot be saying grabow gets the first shot.

rotoworld: With Damaso Marte apparently on the way out, John Grabow could be the favorite for saves in Pittsburgh.
Grabow is a completely generic reliever, but with a 3.08 ERA in 49 2/3 innings, he's in the midst of easily his best season as a major leaguer. He doesn't have a big righty-lefty splits, so he probably is the best choice to close. Tyler Yates hasn't been any good at all of late. Denny Bautista might prove to be the better alternative should Grabow struggle.

Wouldn't bay be a sell low at the moment?

NOTE: apparently I don't pay attention to the pirates he's pretty solid again this year

I like the trade, Tabata has had wrist trouble and caused a lot of problems in the minors. He is still young(19 I think) and has a lot of talent, but the Yankees have filled both of their needs in one move. Outside of Tabata the others are run of the mill.

Hate to lose Tabata but the Yankees make great improvements with this deal. Nady is having a hell of a year and will be a welcomed right-handed addition to the lineup. Marte is one of the premeir lefty relievers in the game and is someone the Yankees have needed for a long time.

Very, very nice deal.

I hope they bring up Andrew McCutchen before Pearce. I like his upside better.
