I have him in my minor league system, and need to decide whether to sign him to a contract or let him walk. His stats aren't that impressive but what kind of potential do you guys see in him?

He's got nice upside but as is the case with the high velocity wild pitchers, will they learn to throw more strikes? I think he's worth hanging onto as it's tougher to find a better arm and Kranitz is definitely one of the better pitching coaches out there.

I've read that his tools translate better for long relief, but I think he showed signs that he can be successful in the rotation.
