minor league incident

Postby perlick29 » Fri Jul 25, 2008 9:24 am

I didn't see anything posted about it but it was during a brawl in Low Single A, Julio Castillo (Cubs starting pitcher) fires a ball at the dugout of the other team, and it hits a fan sending them to the hospital. It was frightening to see the pitcher fire it a hard as he could.

Wow, there is a lot of scary stuff that can happen when you go to a game.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

Wow - that is Delmon Young a couple of years back times about 100. The dude should be suspended for about 3 years.

Hold on guys, lets wait on judging him before we know the whole story. Maybe he didn't mean to hurt anyone and just misremembered where the plate was. :-B

So why were the managers getting into it with each other?

Prior to the brawl, there were two beanings and a fielder broke his leg because of a hard slide into second base.

I really hope that he never gets to pitch again. What he did is no different from using a bat and swinging it at someone.

The Peoria(Cubs) manager, yelled at the Dayton manager after the hard slide by the dayton player, despite the fact that the Peoria pitcher had hit two, brushed back another. He is in the wrong here as is Julio Castillo. And yes his control was a little off since he managed to miss the dugout and had the ball ricochet into the stands instead hurting the fan. The D. Young thing is nothing compared to this, this was crazy, psycho stuff.

Wow, he literally could have killed someone. A fastball to the head is gruesome to think about.

It will be outrageous if this guy throws another pitch in professional baseball.

Ummm getting into a yelling match with another manager is not equivalent to throwing a fastball into your opponent's dugout.
