He's been mediocore at best in the minors...I don't have high expectations but you never know.

Medio-core is a NOFX song.

A 98+ mph flamethrower who's only now starting to fully focus on developing his pitching will really bode well for Samardzija's career. Now if only Harry Caray were around to try to pronounce his last name.

He has nice long-term keeper potential, but his current call-up is most likely a short-term thing until KWood can return to action. Unless he really impresses, I'm guessing he'll be sent down rather quickly.

All this attention is a bit surprising.
