Francisco Liriano

I found this on Rotowire:

Francisco Liriano: Still Dominating the High Minors

Liriano gave up just two hits over seven scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts and two walks for Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday. He now has a 0.26 ERA over his last five starts with a 42:4 K:BB ratio over 35 innings.

Recommendation: Does Liriano have to throw a no-hitter to get recalled from Triple-A? He’s pitching as well as possible for Rochester, but there hasn’t been an opening yet in the Twins rotation. This outing may finally prompt the Twins to find a spot for him or at least add him to the bullpen. He’s likely past the date to trigger arbitration after the season, so there’s almost no reason to keep him in the minors any longer.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A no-hitter? It might take a perfect game!

I was just going to ask everyone about this...Dont you think the twins rotation would be much much better with liriano in it?

This is insane, they have to add him in...put livan in the bullpen...Or trade livan...a contender would take him...

They better not wait until liriano has a couple of bad starts to call him up, he is on fire...I feel the longer they wait, the more he might not want to pitch for the twins, and starts to really make noise off the field..

From Yahoo...

Jul 24 Lirano will not be recalled from Triple-A before Friday, but could be added to the major league roster in the next few days, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Recommendation: It's still unclear who Liriano would replace in the Minnesota rotation, but the report speculates that he could be used in the bullpen or replace Nick Blackburn or Glen Perkins. Liriano has a 0.26 ERA over his last five starts at Triple-A with a 42:4 K:BB ratio over 35 innings
