Kazmir or Lincecum - POLL

Postby elvis1074 » Wed Jul 23, 2008 9:59 pm

Who would you want going forward? I am worried about Lincecum's workload since it's his first full year.

I'd take Lince $
It's not like the kid's never pitched a full season in the minors before. Don't be scared of his size, he'll be fine. Or maybe I'm just a bitter Mets fan. :-[

You know you can select both options, right? I'd rather have both... ;-)

I do have both. :-D . If I had to pick I would take Kazmir over a full season. I guess Lincecum has put the better numbers together. Still thinkin Kaz. I hate when people hijack threads and start bragging but I want to mention. On top of Kaz and Lincy comes Harden, Peavy, and Danks. ;-D

Bruce Bochy wants to limit his innings for the rest of the year so don't be surprised if he comes out after 6-7 even if his pitch count is lower. However he usually only pitches 6-7 solid innings anyway so I don't see the limit affecting his stats too much.

slight advantage to Kazmir given experience and I actually don't mind the fact he missed a month or so to start the year, he should be able to fight off fatigue... and his last start was encouraging in that he went deeper... it's so very close as to be negligible though. Either are wonderful bets.
For every Brett Myers there's a Nate McLouth...

Give me Timmy. Kaz seems fragile.
