Hart Vs. Markakis.

Postby The_Natural » Wed Jul 23, 2008 7:08 pm

The old thread was Hart Vs Pence Vs. Markakis.

I think we can take Pence out now.

Who is your vote now?

I'm going with Hart. Remember he has Yost as a manager. :)

It's pretty close but Markakis is usually huge in the second half so I'm going to go with him.

I'd say Hart. He runs a bit more and their power should be similar.

Hart because he runs more, and because the lineup around him gives him the edge in Runs and RBI.

Like them both, but I have to give the slight edge to Hart because of the SBs.

In most fantasy formats, I'd take Hart because of his production in the counting categories.

In real life, I'd take Markakis and it isn't even close.

I owned both in my Dynasty up until very recently where I moved Markakis as part of a deal. At the time of the trade Markakis had around 30-35 more points than Hart. I looked at the walk column and saw that Markakis had about 30 more walks, which made up for the 30 points disparity (with my league giving a point per walk). I think that if Hart just gets more discipline at the plate to take more pitches, he's just as good as Markakis if not better. I definitely think he has more power and speed. Both are very solid though.
Thanks to soty for this sig
