He's having a career season, but he just missed 2 straight games. Is he becoming a spot player again?

From what I've heard, Thames will be moved before the deadline, most likely to the Mets. If that's the case, you can guarantee he'll be starting everyday...

would make sense to move thames b/c they have joyce whos also hitting the ball very well and theres no pt platooning thames and joyce. If u guys look at his numbers if he ever played a full seseason he would be a lock for 35 homers and about a .265 or so avg.
all this guy does is hit bombs. the mets would be big winners getting thames. i doubt he would command a hefty price in a trade. i never understood why he didn't play everyday. i realize he hits better against lefties, but a career .786 OPS against righties isn't terrible.
i havent heard the trade rumors yet, but i did hear that Leyland has the following plan to for Thames, Sheffield and Joyce Thames and Sheff will both play 3 of every 4 games and Joyce will play 2 of every 4, but i imagine that is subject to change on a whim
It apparently has changed on a whim....Thames is out for the third straight game.
